I am just a guy seeking to follow Yeshua Messiah with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. Sometimes the journey is long and trying and sometimes the journey is more fun that I can describe. Either way, it is good to follow the Master. I write about the things that strike me. Sometimes I rant and sometimes I teach what God has taught me. When I first started this blog five years ago, it was to serve as an outlet for my thinking out loud style. Now it has transformed into a way for me to write and share with whoever might be interested about the amazing God that I know, love and serve. I also have been writing a daily devotional (More Than Bread) that is sent out by email to a small group of people. I have been posting some of them online and have made a page here with more information about them.
A word about comments. I am an oddball. I like and appreciate constructive criticism. I have asked for it in ministry for many years, but found that people are often wary to give it because most people don’t like or appreciate criticism. If you have thoughts or critiques of what is written here, please feel free to express them. I do ask for two things though. First, please no vulgar language. In my opinion, vulgar language is mostly the sign of a limited vocabulary or else a deliberate attempt to be shocking. If you have something to say, say it well. Secondly, if you have a criticism, please have a suggestion for improvement. Constructive criticism helps build up if done properly. If done otherwise, it is just mean and offensive. I am open to other viewpoints and thinking. I like to learn. I like to be challenged. I don’t like to just be insulted or demeaned for no reason. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the WWW.
It occurs to me that I should probably explain the Jeofurry name as well. It is a high school nickname that stuck somehow. One of my good friends from high school often referred to me by that name and I liked it so much that I kept it.

Hi, Jeff. I just came over from SBC Voices. I really enjoyed your post on doubt, so I came over here to browse around. I see you’re at Liberty. Do you know Matt Svoboda? He’s also a writer for SBC Voices and a student at Liberty. He and I have become good “blog friends.” Keep up the good work.
Barry,
I don’t know Matt other than reading a little bit of his stuff. I am a DLP student with Liberty, so I haven’t met a whole lot of Liberty students. Thanks for the encouragement and comments.
Hi Jeff,
Nice blog you have here. I habe enjoyed spending the last few minutes reading some of your articles.
I will definitely be back.
Mike,
It is good to have you around. I always enjoy your input over at iMonk’s place and I enjoy checking out your blog as well.
