What happens when God gets mixed up with the WWE? Todd Bentley

I have heard the name a few times now. I did some research on my own. Checked out the ministry’s website and statement of faith. You know what I mean. Then I ran across these YouTube links. Somehow the words of Jesus that said, “But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.”(Matthew 5:39) seem to be missing. Maybe he is trying to help people live this truth by hitting them himself. He is talking in the clip linked above about kicking people in the face, doing leg drops and so on. This isn’t Scriptural. He tries to say in the audio clip linked here that people believe in Jesus but don’t believe in the supernatural. You can’t properly believe in Jesus if you don’t believe in the supernatural. This clip mentions needing to get people to believe in some angel. Why does this sound like so many false religions that have come before? Apparently Paul was led to describe this guy by the Holy Spirit in the book of Colossians 2:18-19 when he said this:

18Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. 19He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

This guy goes on and on about a vision of Christ that he had and you can read about it here. I am not here to judge this guy or his salvation. But I am here to tell you that he is not teaching truth as revealed in Scripture, and Scripture is the only means we have to determine if one who claims to be a prophet or teacher from God is teaching truth. I am not on the attack path, but I can’t just sit idly by and let this stuff slide without some comment. I see people posting in message threads that true Christians wouldn’t speak out against this, but I am here to tell you. The things that this guy is teaching are not from God. The Bible is plain that people will cast out demons and prophesy in Jesus’ name and be told that He(Jesus) never knew them. Just because some guy manifests a bunch of miracles, doesn’t automatically make him the “real deal” or sent from God. If his teachings line up with God’s Word, then he can be judged as authentic. If his teachings contradict the Word of God, then he can be judged to be false. This guy is false, because what he teaches goes against the Word of God.
