More Than Bread Devotional for 6/11/08

Zechariah 10:9
Though I scatter them among the peoples,
yet in distant lands they will remember me.
They and their children will survive,
and they will return.

One of the things that we can take great comfort in is that God is true to His Word.  If He has promised to do something, he will do it.  He swore that He would never forget the nation of Israel and that He would return them to their land.  For many years, people thought that this was impossible or some kind of metaphor.  Today, the nation of Israel and many Jewish people live once again in the land that Abraham first set foot on by God’s direction.  They serve as a living reminder that God is always faithful.
