Accepted into the Family

Sermon Notes for 2/1/09 (Romans 15-16)

  1. Living beyond yourself

    1. The strong and the weak (Chapter 14)

    2. Selfishness is the opposite of love

    3. All of Scripture is written for us (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

    4. God desires unity (Psalm 133)

    5. If you have been accepted, you should be accepting (1 John 4:11; Matthew 7:12)

  2. Paul describes what we do as believers

    1. We are to glory in Christ Jesus

    2. We are to tell our story

    3. We must take the story to those who haven’t heard (Matt. 28:18-20)

    4. Our plans are subject to God’s will

  3. It’s a family thing

    1. We are brothers and sisters and we work together

    2. Chapter 16 is a large list of those whom Paul has worked side by side with in ministry.
