It seems almost silly to even need to talk about it. This is a document that every single American citizen can lay a hand on and in fact must be able to produce if they want to do anything legitimately in our country like get a driver’s license, get a passport, get a social security card and so forth. I am referring to a birth certificate. If it is such a simple piece of paper, why is it that our president still is unwilling to show his? Today, a breaking story shows that it may be a problem indeed. After multiple lawsuits have failed to make any progress toward just getting the document in the open, this one has hit an unusual point:
A U.S. Army Reserve major from Florida scheduled to report for deployment to Afghanistan within days has had his military orders revoked after arguing he should not be required to serve under a president who has not proven his eligibility for office.
His attorney, Orly Taitz, confirmed to WND the military has rescinded his impending deployment orders.
“We won! We won before we even arrived,” she said with excitement. “It means that the military has nothing to show for Obama. It means that the military has directly responded by saying Obama is illegitimate – and they cannot fight it. Therefore, they are revoking the order!”
She continued, “They just said, ‘Order revoked.’ No explanation. No reasons – just revoked.” (emphasis mine)
This means that instead of producing a simple birth certificate, the government decided it would be better to simply admit defeat and revoke the order that generated the complaint. How is that exactly? If more of our soldiers start doing this, there will be no armed forces left to fight when needed. This soldier is perfectly within his rights and in fact according to the story, he is anxious to serve where needed. He simply felt that he should do his duty first:
“As an officer in the armed forces of the United States, it is [my] duty to gain clarification on any order we may believe illegal. With that said, if President Obama is found not to be a ‘natural-born citizen,’ he is not eligible to be commander-in-chief,” he told WND only hours after the case was filed.
“[Then] any order coming out of the presidency or his chain of command is illegal. Should I deploy, I would essentially be following an illegal [order]. If I happened to be captured by the enemy in a foreign land, I would not be privy to the Geneva Convention protections,” he said.
Sounds like a thoughtful and genuine request. It would be terribly simple to just produce the birth certificate and end of story. But rather than do this the government simply gave up. Someone knows something here that we all need to know. The old saying goes that where there is smoke there is fire, well there is a lot of smoke here and I think we have found the fire. Want to put a fire extinguisher on the fire? Just produce a simple long-form birth certificate. As of now, I am adding a banner to the side of this site to publicize the request.
